Hi! I'm Jamesa
My
Story
Hi there, I’m Jamesa! I am a wife to Justin, a first time mom to baby Camden, and a certified pediatric sleep consultant through The Center for Pediatric Sleep Management. I provide virtual sleep support to help families get longer, more restorative sleep at night. Thank you for being here!
This is my son Camden. He is energetic, playful, loves being outside and has one heck of a side eye (as you can see). Camden is my miracle baby. In the spring of 2019 I was diagnosed with unexplained infertility and with the help of some great fertility specialists, my dream of becoming a mother came true. We like to tell people that Camden was made with love and a little science. When the third trimester arrived, my husband and I were flooded with all kinds of unsolicited advice telling us to sleep now because it would be a thing of the past once our baby boy arrived. I don’t know about you, but that was not something I wanted to hear or look forward to, especially since there was little to no sleep happening in my third trimester.
Camden came and our home was filled with love, happiness and two very sleepy parents. I honestly don’t know how we made it through those first three months, but we did. We were following wake windows with Camden and had him on somewhat of a schedule and then he got his first tooth at 3.5 months and was also going through the four month sleep regression. I was scheduled to go back to work around this time and that is when we made the decision to work with a sleep consultant to help get our entire family sleeping better. Our sleep consultant, Steffi, was amazing and truly changed our lives for the better. She and I kept in touch after our sleep support ended and she asked what I thought about becoming a sleep consultant myself.
With the support of my family and Steffi, I became a certified pediatric sleep consultant and I could not be happier. While sleep training my son, I learned so much about the science of baby sleep and realized how many things I did not know about sleep and how many sleep myths we believe. My goal is to help families who look like mine get more restorative sleep for their entire family. Our children are more resilient than we give them credit for. They can do hard things and so can we. I cannot wait to start this journey together.
